i'd love it if hefferman's world was the real world, but it's still too time consuming for remixers et al to make up any substantial portion of a fan base.

i.e. most people are insanely lazy

maybe if shows' constituent parts get atomized (raw footage, wiki scripts, etc) and production tools get easier to use there will be some kind of interactive revolution outlined by projects like:
