i gave my two cents on lily allen in the city paper this week. a postscript to what i think is the first time i’ve ever used the word ‘blog’ in print: when i first heard ‘ldn’ i binged on it like a sugar addict on a just-cracked can of duncan hines fudge swirl, zinging the mp3 from coast to coast via im transfers and byte-stuffed e-mails as i hit the ‘replay’ button over and over again. my memories of it now have receded into a pleasant hum — any wriggling irritants glossed over, any bits of sunburn mottled into rapidly fading freckles.

Ooh, that’s nice. Every one of her mp3’s that I’ve heard so far is solid pop goodness. She listens to some good records, and has that nice vitality that Mike Skinner lost two years ago. Thanks!
