sad solo saxophonists.

took advantage of the nice weather and walked around central park yesterday. (i’m sort of impressed that i didn’t get a sunburn, given my tendencies toward turning bright red anytime i venture outside for longer than a walk to the subway.) my sweating was accompanied by music wherever i went — solitary alto saxes running through melancholy standards, shirtless singer-songwriters belting out old dylan chestnuts, upright basses thumping through old-timey tunes. they all bent and flowed into one another, forging their own path through all the greenery and rollerbladers.
