Is it just me, or did Boo Berry season start earlier than usual this year?
Not that I’m complaining, mind you. Just curious. Especially since it’s supposed to go up to 80 degrees today.

Definitely earlier. I spotted some Halloween paraphernalia -fully- pre-Labor Day.
Do you think that means we can wear white shoes on Halloween?
Earlier this year I noted the appearance of Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs in the grocery store in mid-February, more than 60 days before Easter Sunday.
Which makes sense, I suppose. In this culture of self-determination, where men can become women and John Travolta can become an alien, far be it from me to place anything within a certain artificial context. Who is to say that candy eggs can only be enjoyed at Easter, or that frightening cereal is only permissible in October? If Count Chocula is cut, does he not bleed?
When I lived in Library, Pennsylvania, the monster cereals were available year-round at my friendly local Giant Eagle. Pittsburghers love artificial blueberry flavoring in their breakfast! (Alternate explanation: being in Pennsylvania, they have plenty of space to fill in their stores, space that would be filled by beer and wine in states with more normal liquor laws. They also had fully half an aisle devoted to Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates merchandise.)
