and then i saw celebration. and then i had three scotches. and then i had a vitamin water and went to bed.

sixteen chilis and all i can think of is this: when is the recipe for that sweet pumpkin-white bean chili going to show up here!? not soon enough, i say.

ok i can say other things too. like:
- the person who made the chili au old el paso (aka no. 7 or maybe it was 8): not a good look!
- the person who bundled the banana-chocolate chip puck with their chili (aka no. 16): reliance on gimmicks will get you nowhere, especially when your main dish is choke-inducingly spicy! watch one ecw for hints!
- the person who won the peoples’ choice award (aka no. 11): why do i have no memory of eating your chili at all! seriously! i know you brought a tableful of friends, but come on!

i have to say, also, that matt–the chili takedown mastermind, as well as the co-mc of we are the world slash white castle trivia night–always knows how to bring a good time. new york city, i’m telling you, do not sleep on this man! or he will come at you with delicious foodstuffs and brain-bending riddles, and you won’t know what to do!

Just curious but are you the same Maura who posted the below, 5 years ago?

erm, not to be a crank, but is /usr/bin/girl really, conceptually, that original of a name idea?

i only say this because it’s a big web out there, and i do think that it is entirely possible for these girls to have missed the zannah boat. i mean, people people, you all have to remember that the ‘famous’ sites are really only famous in a relative sense. when was the last time you saw any of the people you consider well-known website proprietors on TRL?

(ooops, i opened THAT door again …)
