not that i don’t think the majority of this site’s traffic is coming from idolator as opposed to the other way around, but i have to say i’ve been really happy with the song writeups i’ve been doing for my and jess’ top 40 list of awesomeness, and the listmaking has probably been the most fun i’ve had with music all year. (quantify, quantify, quantify!) this list (which i’ll add to as the days tick down to dec. 31) will probably serve as my year-end wrapup for this here site, since pretty much these songs, the whole of the siobhan donaghy and tracey thorn albums, and the 10-disc freestyle comp on tommy boy were what defined my musical life this year. also i have to write a bunch of stuff for our poll and trying to squeeze that in between blogging, celebrating the holidays, and taking a trip out west is going to be quite the trick. i guess i can write on the plane? ANYWAY.
